Therapia Treatment Team
Ben began working in substance abuse treatment in 1987. During the past 25 years, he has worked in in-patient, residential, wilderness, intensive out-patient, and out-patient adolescent and adult programs. He has spent the majority of those years in management positions including executive director and national director responsible for the safe and effective operations of several programs. He has also served in leadership roles with professional organizations including president of the Utah Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors and national committees with NAADAC and ICRC.
Davee Chandler is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who brings many years of professional experience to ARG at Zion Park as Clinical Director. Prior to ARG, Davee worked as the Clinical Director at a well known adolescent residential substance abuse treatment facility for several years. With experience ranging from play therapy with children to marriage and family therapy, he has worked in a variety of settings including private practice. Davee also teaches for Utah Valley University. His passion is assisting those struggling with addictions to experience the joy and freedom of recovery.
Arden is a Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor with over 17 years in the addiction and mental health treatment industry. He has a great passion for this field and a strong desire to help those suffering with the disease of addiction, as well as their family members. As part of his experience in this field, he has worked in secure-care, residential, and out-patient environments with both the adolescent and adult populations. He has spent the last several years in administrative and management positions including residential director and program director of programs ranging from severe psychiatric and mental health facilities, to substance abuse treatment facilities. He also served as the chair of the residential best practice committee of a large corporation, and helped develop and implement best practice standards for several residential programs.
HR is the founder and President of Addiction Recovery Group and a Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor. He has worked in the substance abuse field for the last 12 years as well as an additional 15 years of finance and business management experience. Through his personal experience in recovery, HR has developed a passion for helping people understand and overcome the disease of addiction.Arden is a Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor with over 17 years in the addiction and mental health treatment industry. Michael is a Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor and has worked in the substance abuse field for over 25 years. He was the co-creator of the successful national chemical dependency treatment programs Cirque Lodge and Summit Lodge Recovery Center. Michael also worked to help create several other addiction programs in Utah, Idaho, and Oregon. Michael worked as the Director of the ACT Chemical Addiction Program at Ogden Regional Medical Center for many years and currently serves on the Mental Health Board for the Utah Hospital Association. Michael brings a wealth of experience and education to ARG. He has devoted most his life to helping people overcome substance abuse addictions.
Mike has been in the field of substance abuse for the past 5 years. In those 5 years he has worked in residential, out-patient, and in-patient treatment programs. The majority of his experience comes from supervisory and director level positions. Mike is currently a Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor, Equine Specialist(EAGALA) as well as enrolled at the University of Utah to complete a degree in Social Work. His areas of expertise are experiential therapy and metaphorical learning.Connect With Us
