Executive Team

Ben Harris, SUDC, Executive Director
Ben is a Substance Use Disorder Counselor and  began working in substance abuse treatment in 1987. During that time he has worked in in-patient, residential, wilderness, intensive out-patient, and out-patient adolescent and adult programs. He has spent the majority of those years in management positions including executive director and national director responsible for the safe and effective operations of several programs. He has also served as president of the Utah Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors and on national committees with NAADAC and ICRC.

Arden Smith, ASUDC, MBA, Program Director
Arden is an Advanced Substance Use Disorder Counselor with broad experience in the addiction and mental health treatment industry. He has a great passion for this field and a strong desire to help people suffering with the disease of addiction and their family members. As part of his experience in this field, he has worked in secure-care, residential, and out-patient environments with both the adolescent and adult populations. Arden has an MBA in Healthcare Management. He has spent the last several years in administrative and management positions including residential director and director of programs ranging from severe psychiatric and mental health facilities to substance abuse treatment facilities. He also served as the chair of the residential best practice committee of a large corporation and helped develop and implement best practice standards for several residential programs.

Mike Keenan, SUDC, Equine Specialist
Mike is a Licensed Substance Use Disorder Counselor (LSUDC) and is continuing his education by pursuing a degree in Social Work at the University of Utah. Mike began his career in 2008 working in youth residential treatment. Soon after, he identified his passion for working with the adult population suffering from addiction and chemical dependency and transitioned into adult residential, in-patient, and out-patient treatment. Mike has excelled in a variety of supervisory and director level positions. In addition, Mike has been practicing as a Certified Equine Specialist, using the EAGALA Model, since 2008. Using the EAGALA model, he works in a team to facilitate Equine Psychotherapy and Equine Life-skills sessions. Mike grew up in St. George, Utah and has always taken advantage of the wide array of outdoor and recreational activities Southern Utah provides. He has capitalized on his love for and expertise in the stunning surrounding environment to facilitate experiential therapy and metaphorical learning.

Joni Dyches, Director of Finance
Joni has been with Therapia for over three years and is currently working as our Finance Director. With over 20 years of municipal finance experience, Joni brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Therapia. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Accounting. Joni provides management, control and administration for all financial operations for both the Men’s and Women’s programs. Joni manages all client accounts both past and present including help with insurance claims and individual payment options.

Clinical Team

Craig Georgianna, Psy.D., M.S., LMFT, CSAT, CMAT, CTT-S., Clinical Director
Dr. Georgianna has more than twenty years’ experience working with individuals, couples, and families in a myriad of settings. He specializes in treating substance use, abuse and dependence, trauma, and individuals with sexual and multiple addictions. Dr. Georgianna’s experience includes over a decade of directorial experience with chemical dependency, treatment, and recovery programs throughout the Southern California area. Dr. Georgianna received both his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and his Masters, Magna Cum Laude, in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling from California State University, Long Beach. Dr. Georgianna received his Doctorate of Psychology, from California Southern University. He is a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist, Certified Multiple Addictions Therapist, and Certified Trauma Therapist and Supervisor. Dr. Georgianna is an internationally published author recently publishing the book “Hyperstimulation”, a book addressing adolescent gaming and sexual addictions. Press Release>>

Dr. Rob Mohr, Addictionologist, Medical Director
Dr. Mohr is board certified in internal medicine and has practiced medicine in Ogden, Utah since 1994. He graduated from the University of Utah School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency. As a board certified addictionologist, he has treated and worked with chemically addicted patients for several years. He is presently the medical director of a large medical detoxification center in northern Utah.

Espra Andrus, LCSW, Therapist
Espra Andrus, LCSW is a clinical therapist who specializes in working with individuals who suffer with anorexia, bulimia and binge-eating disorders, as well as individuals with posttraumatic stress disorder, and mood and emotion dysregulation disorders. Espra began practicing as a therapist in 1990 and has specialized in treating eating disorders since 1998. She worked at Center for Change, a premier eating disorder treatment program in Utah, for eight years. Espra is intensively trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
